Five Simple Recipes for Baking

Chocolate Chip Cookies: Baking Recipe from Scratch

Let me start by teaching you to a baking recipe from scratch. In this section, we will be making some gooey, mouth-watering chocolate cookies that are filled with Nutella in the centre.

Take a large bowl and add about two cups of all-purpose flour, two teaspoons of corn-starch, one teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt to taste in it. Whisk it all together and keep it aside.

In a separate bowl, add half a cup of melted butter, one-third cup of Nutella, half cup of white and brown sugar, an egg and two teaspoons of vanilla extract. Beat it all together until everything is properly mixed. Slowly add in the dry ingredients you mixed in the other bowl. Keep beating the mixture while you add.

In the end, you will have somewhat-thick cookie dough. Fold in a cup of chocolate chips Cover this dough well and keep it overnight in the fridge for best results.

When you need to bake, take out the dough and make small balls out of it. Cover the baking tray with butter paper and place the balls in it. Make sure there is some distance between the balls as the cookies will spread out.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the cookies for ten to eleven minutes. Take them out and let them cool at room temperature for the best results.

Mini Cinnamon Rolls:

This is another recipe that can be considered one of the simple recipes for baking.

In a large bowl, knead almost three cups of all-purpose flour with one tablespoon of yeast and a teaspoon of salt. In a separate bowl, combine a quarter cup of sugar, half a cup of water and milk and two tablespoons of unsalted butter. Warm this mixture in the microwave until the butter has melted. Slowly add this to the dough and knead it some more. In the end, the dough should be elastic. Cover it and keep it aside for at least ten minutes so it can rise.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Meanwhile, take a mixing bowl and add a cup of brown sugar, a tablespoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla extract in it. Mix it well. Roll out the dough into a big rectangle and brush it with melted butter. Then pour this mixture from the mixing bowl onto it. Roll the rectangle from the longer side. Cut small pieces from the rolled-out dough.

Place these pieces in a baking tray and bake them for fifteen to eighteen minutes. Let them cool for a while before putting on either a sugar-glazed frosting or a cream cheese one.

Easy Cake Recipe

Cakes are the first thing that come to my mind when I think of baking. Let’s see an easy cake recipe that we can use to begin our career in baking.

Take a large bowl and add three cups of all-purpose flour to it. Next, add a tablespoon of baking powder and half a teaspoon of salt. Whisk this all together.

In a separate bowl, take one and a half cup of sugar and two sticks of butter. Beat this until it gets smooth and fluffy. Add four eggs, one at a time while beating the mixture lightly. In the end, add one tablespoon of vanilla extract. After it has been mixed completely, start adding the flour mixture slowly. Keeping mixing it while you add.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a nine-inch cake mould by greasing it and adding a butter paper. Pour half the prepared batter in the mould and make it for thirty to thirty-five minutes. The cake would be lightly golden.

Take it out and let it cool before frosting and serving.

Mini Cherry Pies:  Easy Baking Recipe for Kids

Now, what would be an easy baking recipe for kids if not some cute mini cherry pies?

To make this, we need three main ingredients: a pie dough, an egg and some canned pie filling. We can get these things ready-made so the children can make it whenever they feel like having a baking session.

Take the pie dough and roll it out. Cleanly cut out about two inches of circles from the dough. Grease the mini muffin pan with butter and dip in the circles in each opening. Open the canned filling and pour two tablespoons of it in each shell.

Cut out some other cute shapes with the dough like stars to place on top of the filling. Let the kids have fun while deciding shapes.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and bake it for ten minutes. And the mini cherry pies are ready!
