Health Benefits of Pico de Gallo: Why I Never Run Out

I’m a nurse by profession, and I definitely care about how I feed my family every single day. I have three adorable kids and I can honestly say that I do get some issues about their eating habits once in a while. Nutrition has always been my top priority to keep my family in tip-top shape. I do some shopping lists for the groceries, stick with my meal plans, and never stuck any single junk food inside the pantry. I’m not perfect, but I find ways to give them the best.

But just like any other moms who face dining issues with their kids, I observed that my kids love eating fried food quite often. And I noticed that my kids really fancy some gravy, sauces, side dishes and dips every time, that’s why I made research and found something tasty and healthy for them. I tried making Pico de Gallo, a Mexican type of salsa that consists of natural and fresh ingredients with the health benefits of pico de gallo.

Pico de Gallo may be similar to that salsa thing, but it doesn’t comprise too much liquid.

I get to pair it with my kids’ favorite fried meals and even made my own version of a salad with pico de gallo. Still, I limit my kids’ from eating fatty foods, though. I tried watching my weight and keep myself healthy and fit as much as possible, no matter how busy and hard my days usually get. Working 9 to 5 and raising 3 children with different needs, taking care of my husband, and managing the house at the same time. I admit exercises happen just like how the blood moon lit the skies.

So far, I have had no blood pressure issues at the moment and neither take any blood pressure maintaining drugs. I presume things will only get shady If I picture myself on that side. That’s why I make sure I eat low calories and low-sodium food the most. I also try fat-free dishes, no matter how my kids crave fried meals every day. Pico de gallo has helped me so much with my snacking and meal planning strategies. It’s a versatile kitchen staple you can get on with almost anything like baked potatoes, tacos, eggs and bacon, and even with curds and seafood. Plus, onion and garlic do wonders in the lowering of blood cholesterol.

3. Pico de gallo gives you great hydration. 

Hydration is the most important body nourishing step that we can do every day. This spares our health from other dreadful conditions like dehydration, dry skin, and even the loss of energy or fatigue. Our body consists of almost 70% of water. This maintains the equilibrium and the normal bodily functions of our internal organs like the brain, heart, and liver. Pico de gallo is a great source of hydrating elements since it is made of almost water found in tomatoes, watermelons, cucumbers, peppers, and even ripe mangoes as its main base. Proper hydration can give you clear and toned skin that delays ageing and the appearance of wrinkles and facial lines that most women hate.
