Is drinking juice better than eating whole fruits?
Drinking juice is better than not consuming any fruit or vegetable at all, juices tend to have a high kilojoule count which can easily be overindulged, and they don’t contain as much fibre as whole fruits.
Once juiced the structure of the produce changes and sadly the health benefits are lessened, such as some of the nutrients are lost and the natural sugar can be absorbed into our bloodstream faster.
As the produce is no longer a whole food it can be difficult to moderate how many whole foods you are putting into your body - you wouldn’t eat three apples in a row, but you could drink it which can be harsh on the body.
